    Grippa,

Firstly, I must apologize for taking so long to write and secondly, for if this ends up long!

You'll never believe all the havoc Peeves has caused! It seems as though her messed up the owl delivery and there were some incoming students who didn't receive their letter when they should! And then! Then he hid the sorting hat! I'm not entirely sure how he got hold of the hat himself but he did and it two nearly two weeks for it to be found and everyone to be properly sorted! A little girl got temporary sorted into Slytherin and the poor lamb cried!

And now I have heard that there will be a masquerade ball on the grounds but I CANNOT GO! Only fifth years and above may attend. I'm a bit miffed if I am to be honest. It would have been so much fun! I've heard they've sent invites to all wizarding folk though. Did you get one? Do you think you'll go? Oh please do! Then perhaps I can live through you while you enjoy the grand event and I'm stuck in the castle staring longingly out the window.

No. Perhaps you shouldn't go. I'd be terribly jealous.

    Ulti,

I remember school well, and I understand it can be so difficult to find time to write anyone. Just wait until you are studying for your OWLs, then see how little time you have. On the same note, if you need any help with your OWLs, I can try to help you with anything.

Peeves is most certainly one thing I do not miss about school. That sounds quite awful, although I cannot understand why Slytherin is so awful that it causes crying. Are you really that bad? Please stop terrifying first years, immediately.

While I hate to gloat, I have received my invitation, and I have every intention of attending. You have known me for years, surely you must know that I do not say no to events like this? I promise I will tell you everything about it, so you can get a little excitement at the very least.

    Grippa,

I've a whole year before I have to worry about such things but you know I'll call on you first thing should I need the help. Though, I'm certain I won't need help.

And why would you assume it is I that made her cry? It hurts me to think you think of me so poorly. I do believe she is a muggle born witch. I'm sure you can understand while even temporarily being sorted into Slytherin would be quite terrifying. And if you really must know, I was kind to her when I was around her. There was another boy, however, who was not. He's lucky we can't use magic on one another or surely I'd have hexed him.

And you are lucky I can't use magic outside of school or I'd surely hex you the next time I saw you. Saying you don't mean to gloat is, for all intents and purposes, gloating. You best make sure you take notes the night of the masquerade, though. If you even leave one little detail out I will be quite cross with you.

    Ulti,

Please ignore my lack of timekeeping. I am well aware you have a year left until you begin your OWLs, but I may as well offer my help beforehand.

Chérie, believe me, I do not believe you always make first years cry. If that is one of your hobbies, however, we will need a serious conversation. But I am glad to hear you were kind to her, and I know Mother would be pleased to hear that as well. Please refrain from hexing other students, it would do you more harm than good.

On the subject of not hexing people, I feel like hexing one's brother will not help either of us. Of course I intend to take notes, I will make sure you know everything that happened, what everyone was wearing, et cetera. It will be as if you had been there yourself.

    Grippa,

I'll forgive you this time but let's not make me older than I already am so quickly. Although, I can' help but wish I'd been born just a few months earlier so that I could be in attendance.

And I won't be hexing any students or yourself. I'm actually finding I quite like potions. Perhaps poison will be a more subtle way of getting my point across.

Your notes also may not be needed. Who knows, perhaps I will be in attendance after all...

    With Love,
