This thread is rated M for strong language and violence.
It was an embarrassing thing to be discovered by a man younger than you, drunk off your butt and quite injured to say the least. Laurence Potter and Sebastian hadn't been close friends, but they knew one another, and that might it even more awkward. Sebastian was a generally outgoing, personable person. He was known to most people for his charisma, lightness of heart, and good sensibilities towards others. He was also know as a bit of a trouble maker, but only in the most good natured of ways. During his days at Hogwarts, Sebastian was know for his love of parties and and athleticism. Most people didn't really consider his intellectuality, but that had certainly changed since his graduation he his serious commitment to rising in level at the MoM, which was hard to do. He was currently a translator there.
There was a crinkled, pasted together letter in Sebastian's back pocket from one Violet Ollivander making it known to him her new courtship of Cage Wakefield. It was more painful to learn that the girl you fancied was off with your best friend than it was to be in the frigid cold with broken ribs and cuts all over. Sebastian had first ripped the letter up. Then, realizing the immaturity of his action, had pasted it crudely back together (he often had the habit of forgetting that magic could get such things done for him). Days later, he was still feeling the sting of the redhaired beauty's words, though they were full of as much good intent as they could be, and perhaps that was what had caused him to work himself into the ground - to forget her, if that was possible.
When Laurence found him he half wanted to bow his head in shame, and half wanted to praise the younger man. It was times like these when Sebastian was glad they were wizards, for it meant that they would have less recuperation if the healer was especially good. Sebastian knew quite well that Laurence wasn't a healer, but anything at this point was better than how he currently felt. Sucking up his pain, he looked at the man with the best smile he could muster. Sebastian always smiled. Even when he was the saddest bloke in Hogsmeade his lips were turned upward. "Good evening Mister Potter," Sebastian said. He was very good about holding his liquor, and at least being polite in front of others. His obscenities were reserved for the night and for his closest of friends. But oh the words he'd say right now if he were alone. "That would be very much appreciated, sir... I seem to have gotten myself into a scuffle," he admitted meekly.
Right about now, Sebastian would put his trust in anyone to help him. He felt incredibly vulnerable, and it was not a nice feeling to have. Sebastian was quite addicted to being self-sufficient.
