Any attempt to run away would probably leave you the sole Scrimgeour daughter — even I know that much. We could always run away together and be the legendary twins on the run from an oppressive regime. That would make for an interesting bedtime story, don't you think? Papa see’s us as a way of uniting his blood line with others, I’m surprised that neither of us were forcibly betrothed. Father has spoken of betrothals before, but I'm certain he believes arranging me a marriage would be the way to assure a rebellion on my part — something not far from the truth. I want nothing to do with the type of man mother and father wish for me to marry, and going against their wishes will undoubtedly result in the withholding of my dowry. What man would wish to marry a woman who can offer no financial gain to him? Even a man in love wouldn't do such a thing!

I wish I could possess an imagination such as yours! Sadly, I believe I lack the grace required to pull off such a feat! I cannot lie for extended periods of time, as things tend to slip when I lose control of my emotions! Father would surely eat me alive.

Father and mother wish for me to marry a pureblood, but you can't possibly think they'd allow me to marry any pureblood! Haven't you heard what fate cousin Bellamira suffered when she married Mr. Dawlish? Estrange from her family! No, mother and father wish for me to marry a conservative pureblood, and that is the last type of man I wish to end up with! I could never love a bigoted, ignorant man.
