Oliver is a delightful boy, and James is a whoring son of a bitch. You're welcome. And we all know you hate our dear Mrs. Lovegood; there is no love lost between us, and we are cordial to one another, as man and wife should be. But, you are correct, I've never getting anywhere near her as far as bedroom exploits go û and am, unlike most husbands, quite pleased by that fact. As for my wholly secret love life, Lionel and I are doing quite well. It's a little awkward and I'm a bit too cautious after ex-lover-who-shall-not-be-named, but despite all, we are getting along swimmingly, and he displays no psychotic murdering tendencies which I'm sure shall be welcomed news. Tell me, what are the younger Lovegoods up to? Work is keeping me impossibly busy û people are practically throwing themselves into prison. Do keep me abreast of their welfare; I miss simpler times.

I must agree that Lionel is a bit tame, but, perhaps it's what I need right now? I will have to look up the Ministry's file on this "Ceri" girl that Andren is interested in. Don't want him picking things up with one of those teenaged harlots that the school seems to have a surplus of. And, though I'd rather avoid this, I'll speak on the topic of Gareth McPherson. I know you probably don't care, but he is middle class. I have a sizable dowry that mother and father left for you to have, but know that life in the middle class is not what it us in the upper. They do try, but regardless, it's not the same. It is a different lifestyle entirely and I just want you to be aware of it should you decide to wed Gareth. Personally, he seems like a good sort of chap, and his family is fairly untarnished. I do wish you would have found your fancy in an upper class gentleman, but, I shouldn't complain. If you do wish to further your feelings for him, I would give my blessing, but, just take it slow. It took us years to find out what an ass James was; please be careful with your heart.
