Appearance: Bluford is fairly thin, having never truly filled out from his teen years. He weighs in at 144 lbs and is decidedly average, standing at 5'6". His face makes him appear younger than he is, a feature that makes him believe that his peers never take him seriously. He has dark brown eyes that seem to be perpetually wide, a small mouth and a mop of light brown hair that possesses some wave to it. He's right handed and wears clothes fitting of his upper class status - though sometimes he forgets to make sure that he matches properly.
History:
— 1866: Bluford Gaylord Figg is born as the second and last child of a wealthy muggle couple.
— 1872: Bluford demonstrates his first sign of magic - removing the staircase when he had run up to hide from a spanking. Luckily, his mother recognized the signs as him having magic like her sister and after contacting her, things were set right. Several other, more minor, acts of magic happened which his mother tried to keep secret from those outside of the family in order to retain their upper class reputation.
— 1877: As expected, Bluford's Hogwarts letter arrives. He joins his elder brother up at the school and is promptly sorted into Ravenclaw.
— 1881: Bluford takes his OWLs and receives one O, two Es, one A and one T.
— 1882: Bluford was a bit confused over what was going on between his doormmates Cassius Lestrange and Eli Swan; developed several crushes on girls he has absolutely no chance with; and also tried to figure out what occupation he can get into since he is the second born son and will need to work in order to maintain his upper class status.
— 1884: Lucky for him, he didn't need to putter about worrying about an occupation for long. Newton, rather unluckily, catches the laughing plague and dies in June. This leaves Bluford as the sole heir of his father's fortune. He's left with a decent monthly stipend and invests in random, fanciful things with little rhyme or reason.
— 1886: With the mourning period for his brother well over, his mother grows concerned that he isn't having the proper socialization that he ought (and thus when the time comes, will be so out of the loop that nobody will marry him) so pressures him into renting a flat in London. He spends his days wandering about forlornly, faithfully watching quidditch matches and purchasing things he doesn't need in Diagon Alley.
Personality: Blu is very book smart, but generally lacks a bit of common sense. He can seem air-headed at times but only because he speaks before he thinks. When unaware of how to handle certain situations, he clams up and becomes extremely awkward. He can also be very blunt. Soft spoken, Blu is often overlooked and forgotten about. He is used to it by this point and just accepts it.
