Jalek made his way from the great hall, all the way down to the edge of the black lake. It was a somewhat private spot, and it was rather rocky, so not much to accidentally set on fire. He looked back to make sure his new pupil had followed him.

Al followed Drocul and got a little nervous as they headed toward the lake.  He thought it was a nice place to go, but then realized that if he wanted to, Drocul could turn him into a frog and just leave and no one would know what happened or where Al was.  Al once again tried going through the files he had in his head of who he treated badly in his five years and a few months at Hogwarts and Drocul wasn't one of his past victims.  That didn't mean he wouldn't turn on him in the name of a friend.  Al decided to remain cautiously optimistic that the boy meant no harm.  Worse come to worse, he did know the spell to turn him into a chicken if he needed to use it.  As they walked toward the lake, Al also looked around him to make sure a gang of students weren't following them to do bad things to him.  Al's past was obviously something he hadn't worried about until now.

"So you come out here often?" Al asked, trying to find a reason not to be as nervous as he felt.

"Aye, typically in the morning before I practice Quidditch. Hope to be Chaser for the team next year, and then a Seeker fr a professional team... After that? Auror training just like the rest of my kin." He stretched for several moments before turning back to the boy. "So. Where to start?"

Al looked at Drocul and realized that just as easy as Drocul putting a spell on Al and leaving him by the lake without anyone knowing about it, Al could put a spell on Drocul.  A few went through his head as he pondered this thought for a while.  But they hadn't come out here for a duelling lesson, though Al wished they had.  He could certainly use help with that also. Hey, he thought, why not?

"Could you help me with my duelling?" He asked.  The worst thing Drocul could do was say no.  Or turn him into a bug and just leave him there to suffer the indignities of being a bug out in the wild.  He looked at the ground and pondered that idea for a while, imagining himself as a stick insect, until the older boy replied.

Jalek took off his overcoat and laid it out across a low-hanging branch and brought up his wand, one hand held across his back. "Of course. Show me what you can do." He said, preparing to shield himself.

Al only knew one spell by heart really and he hesitated using it because he didn't want to turn Drocul -- his tutor and hopefully, his friend? -- into a chicken. He looked hard at the list of spells for the perfect ones and realizing the usual protective spells were longer than this one, he was pretty sure the boy was going to be turned into a chicken.

"You sure?" Al asked, to make absolutely certain he wouldn't get into any trouble if he was able to turn him into the chicken he thought he would turn into. "If I turn you into something, what spell do I use to turn you back into yourself again? Just in case?"

Al thought Drocul was a very attractive looking boy and without his overcoat, he looked rather muscular. Al would hate to turn him into a chicken since he looked so attractive. Though in his usual morbid manner, Al thought it would be interesting if Drocul was served in the great hall as dinner. Something out of Tittis Andraeschylus by that William Spearshaker or something.
