“Kent, perhaps we should go to the hospital wing instead?” he asked tentatively, eyes unable to leave the sight of the live rat growing out of his cousin’s skull.

His first thought was that it was his brain. But then he’d probably be dead. “We should go to the Hospital Wing,” he agreed. “I don’t want to become a circus freak!”
Yes. Castor thought that would definitely be for the best. After a moment’s hesitation, he tore part of the sleeve from his robe and draped it over his cousin’s head as a makeshift headband in efforts to disguise the…growth.
With a satisfied nod and no further elaboration—it was best, the Gryffindor felt, that Kenton not know specifics—he led the second year to the Hospital Wing.
