So far, the summer had proved rather uneventful. Dora couldn’t believe how unlucky she had been. How many summers had they now had plagues and fires and allsorts to drive people seeking comfort to the doors of a seer? But no, this summer they had been invaded by infinitely more interesting foreigners and not a single malady had befallen the populace. It really was quite unfair.
A rather bored Dora, and an even more bored looking maid, were wandering the edges of the fair when she decided to try an old, and favourite, tactic of hers. They were edging through a cluster of tables set around a stand selling peculiar teas, when she made a show of getting a glimpse of a stranger’s nearly-empty cup, and gave a loud gasp, clutching her chest in horror as she let her legs crumple beneath her.

To sooth his desperate need for societal inclusion, Gilbert ventured to the World's Wizarding Fair, adorned with his most fashionable of garb to "show off" to the general public. Certainly he was in no position to be spending more money on silly ornaments or inventions, regardless of what he thought about their origination, but the sheer thought of prancing about and flashing his imaginary wealth was fuel enough to venture through the crowds of witches and wizards.
His rather puffed appearance may not have suggested that he was a connoisseur of teas, because he really wasn't, but the ability to conjure this image was an interest of his thus led to him meandering about the various stalls. Gilbert had attempted to pronounce a few of the names, either of the business that distributed them or the flavor, and failed miserably. He thought these people were playing tricks on him so that he would buy the tea without knowing what the hell he was even drinking -- so far, it had worked wonders. Their success was received with an audible huff and unamused expression, though such was relieved when the small cup was raised to his lips. The aroma alone, as far as he knew, could have been laced with amortentia or some sort of drug, though Gilbert hadn't the mind to care and downed the liquid in quick succession.
It wasn't long after that a strange woman approached him from behind, gasping so loudly that he may have mistaken her for a banshee. She appeared to be acting as if she had a screw loose or perhaps consumed some tainted tea. Regardless, it didn't take him long to throw his cup off to the side and join the woman on the ground, seeing to her to make sure she was alright. "Ma'am," He began with a startled tone, "Was it the tea? Did it do this to you?" Gilbert wasn't exactly sure how to handle this situation, but kneeling on the ground certainly was not the solution for his aged knees.
He goes exclusively by "Gilbert" - Your character will only know his true name if they are relatives or very close.

Dora let her eyelashes flutter as if she was regaining consciousness, taking the moment to identify who it was had aided her. Alas, the man, though wealthy, was perhaps a little old, and more damningly, had a wedding band on his finger. She elected not to swoon again, but slowly flicked her eyes open and tried to sit, clutching her heart like one who had had a very great shock.
”Oh, dear sir!” She exclaimed, face the picture of concern. ”In a manner, yes- but did you not see it in your cup? I hardly want to say- indeed it should be kinder- though it is rather too late now…”
