    Elsie,

I write to you from my desk in my new (admittedly smaller) study!

You will think me horribly impatient, but I have moved into the new house a full week earlier than intended. The Wellingtonshire house was too big, too empty, for me to have stayed in it a moment larger than necessary.

It feels so strange to have a house that is mine, rather than my father’s or my husband’s. Jameson is quite taken with his new bedroom, and I have caught him twice already trying to climb the pear tree in the garden. Do you know if magic can make walls un-climbable? It’s a very low border of stones separating our modest yard from Padmore Park, and given how much Jammy reminds me of my youngest sister, I suspect I shall need one.

I am eager indeed to have you round for tea, whenever might suit.

    Affectionately,

    Odira

    Dearest Odira,
I can easily understand why you would look forward to moving into your own space. I think it will be a wonderful place to start some new memories. As for the wall, perhaps a barrier charm? There's got to be something that will at least keep him in the yard, if not out of the trees.

I would love to come around for tea whenever you would like company. I'll be out of the library for the next few days,  mum's taken quite ill and I'm home with her. Perhaps this upcoming Saturday?
    Yours,
    Elsie

    Elsie,

Don’t be foolish! I would not dream of taking you from your mother’s side if she is unwell—and would feel awful if you left on my accord! It is nothing that cannot wait until Mrs. Beauregard is well, though I of course wish her the speediest of recoveries.

    Affectionately,

    Odira
