• Valkyria expected this duel to be at least interesting, if not entertaining, for both of the lads surely knew a good spell or two. She went over the rules - which was kind of pointless, as they obviously knew them well by now, if you asked Valkyria - and then turned to the Ravenclaw.

He felt like he had seen Edmund Goyle a million times in the past few weeks. Or maybe it was just that he had spent the entire evening traversing the woods with him.

• It felt to Ned as if the universe were conspiring to shove him and Lestrange together—from the mildly awkward bathroom encounter, to the pitch, to the classes they shared, and to that rather exhausting Defence class, the seventh year had seen far more of the Ravenclaw than he would have liked. At least this time, they were competing against one another.
  
  And Edmund Goyle was determined to win.
  
  Quickly, the Slytherin attempted a spell to bounce Lestrange’s stunner right back at him.

Goyle successfully blocked Lestrange’s stunner and sent it back to its caster. “Round to Mr. Goyle, who may cast next!”

• Edmund smirked at his opponent, and was glad for a chance to attack properly. With gusto, the Slytherin conjured chains before hurling them forward to capture the Ravenclaw.

Damnit. With a swish of his wand and a determination that he could not lose entirely, Cash cast Protego.

Both of the spells were casted well, so Valkyria couldn't really pick between the two boys. Finally, she decided to pick based on House - she had been a Slytherin, after all.

"Round two goes to Mr. Goyle as well!" she announced. "Who wins the duel and five points for Slytherin."
