Lorna Van Patten vs. Adasia Mohr
    #1
Ew Gryffindors. After a snooty reading of the rules for like the billionth time, Moira reluctantly started the duel.

"Miss Van Patten may go first, then Miss Mohr." Urrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh.

She was up against another Gryffindor girl! That was always good for house points, although Lorna didn't really want to lose. Wishing she knew more spells than she did, Lorna wound up doing the most boring, most girly thing, and tried to charm her dress a different colour.

Adasia cast a charm to turn her hair into a neat updo.

Daisy is a half-veela, which means that your male characters are attracted to her.

Both spells worked but really Moira felt that color changing charms were so overdone. And simple. Even if Miss Mohr's little hairstyle thing wasn't much better.

"Miss Mohr wins the first round. Please start the next."

    [Scores: Lorna 4, Adasia 6]

Adasia cast another charm to make the candles' flame around them burn like this.

She couldn't be disappointed when she hadn't even managed to impress herself. Choosing another charm, Lorna attempted to make the stone Hogwarts crest on the fire's grate sing the school song. Worth a try.

Both spells were simple in nature but the unholy caterwauling that erupted form the fireplace was enough to sway Moira's judgement. "Miss Mohr wins the duel!" she announced, wincing as she put an abrupt stop to the noise. "Five points to Gryffindor." Ew.

    [Scores: Lorna 4, Adasia 11]
