Appearance:

Holly is 5'6" and slimmer than she should be. Years of imprisonment have made her slightly malnourished. Her gauntness and pallor make her look as though she is suffering from some illness. Holly's body is littered with scars, reminders of her misspent youth and incarceration. She is a natural brunette, but began lightening her hair after being released from prison. Her blonde locks are long, wavy, and untamed. She wears clothes that have clearly seen better days and have an unappealing griminess to them. She is right handed.

History: 

1861| Holly is born out of wedlock in London. Despite having lived together for years, her mother and father are still unmarried. They also live with Gregory's other bastards, Malcolm and Evan.

1865|Marie loses her job and decides that she might as well teach Holly the basics of magic as well as how to read and write in her free time. Holly takes to her lessons easily and her obvious raw intelligence sets her aside from her brothers. She begins to learn that her parents don't make their living through the most legal means. 

1867| Deeming her old enough, her parents fully introduce her to the family business. Stealing, lying, and manipulation are all tools of their trade and her parents teach her how to use them well. While her brothers excel at smash and grabs, Holly's nimble fingers, ability to think on her feet, and doll-like appearance make her suited for more delicate work. She begins her tenure as a pick pocket in Muggle London. 

1870| Gregory is arrested on suspicion of swindling and narrowly escapes prison by pinning the crime on someone else. 

1872| The associates of Gregory's patsy are none too pleased about his actions. They bide their time and then take their revenge by luring Malcom into a trap. Their attack leaves him with severe internal injuries and paralyzed from the waist down. After a few days, he succumbs to his injuries. Enraged, Gregory confronts one of the men responsible and kills him with his bare hands. He's apprehended and sentenced to hang. He attempts to evade prison by apparating, but ends up fatally splinching himself. 

1873-79| Marie, Holly, and Evan spend the next six years travelling around the south of England, going wherever money takes them. 

1879| Holly meets Thomas Kline when she is in rare form - away from her family, clean, and charming. For him, it's love at first sight. For her, it's a massive pay day. She gets him to court her by lying through her teeth about everything. 

1880| They marry in the spring. Because Holly is passing herself off as an orphan, Marie and Evan celebrate from afar. However, their celebrations turn out to be premature. As it happens, Holly wasn't the only one lying about who she was. Once she is Thomas' wife, it becomes painfully clear that he is not nearly as wealthy as he appears to be. While he did inherit his father's estate, he also inherited his father's debt. That in addition to his terrible business sense and gambling problems put Holly's newfound comfort in jeopardy. Making sure he doesn't ruin them both turns out to be a full time job and a far cry from the life of luxury she'd been promised. 

1881| Holly bears Thomas a son, but the child is born sickly and dies after a few months. 

1882-83| Thomas falls ill and dies in the winter, leaving her almost nothing. With Muggle debt collectors breathing down her neck and no way of paying them, Holly decides she's tired of existing on the fringes of magical society. With her family in tow, Holly disappears into the slums of Hogsmeade. She tries to work on the right side of the law with her clean slate, but doesn't find it nearly as profitable. Eventually, she ends up involved in a smuggling operation and is caught holding the figurative bag. Her trial drags her family's past into the lime light and she's sentenced to three years in prison. 

1883-86| Holly serves her sentence, growing increasingly bitter about the state of her life all the while. 

1886|After being released from prison in mid-January, Holly pays a gravedigger in Hogsmeade to lift a wand off one of the less recently deceased. They don't need it anymore, after all. With her family nowhere to be found and no reputable means of supporting herself, Holly returns to London for the first time in years and takes whatever work she can get. In February, on the erased leap day, she drunkenly marries and falls into bed with Ninian Macfusty. Plans to dissolve the union are complicated by her pregnancy.
