Mrs. Lestrange,
My dear, I write to apologize for my daughter’s appalling behaviour. It was not at all befitting of a young llady—least of all one in my care!—and I hope to reassure you that she will be deftly dealt with. In the interests of making amends, given our family ties, I wonder if you might come to the school tomorrow afternoon for tea. I know Irvingly is assuredly out of the way for you, but I think it would be the easiest way to put this unpleasantness behind us.
I look forward to your reply,
Mrs. Olivia R. Pendergast
