Isolda has always fancied herself the prettiest of the Orpington girls (or at least the living ones; for all that she knew if Margot or Irma had made it through childhood they could have grown to be dashing beauties). She stands at five feet four inches and has always been a bit on the curvier side. Facially, she’s rather foxy in appearance, with her rather pointy chin and nose. She has gray-green eyes, nice eyebrows and brown hair. Where clothing is concerned, she adores deeper colours and she can often tip-toe on the eccentric side though she’d never go to a party with a salmon on her head or something. She’s right handed.History:
March 1841: On the Ides of March (yes I picked that day intentionally), yet another daughter is born to Lincoln and Evangeline Orpington. At this point, they are not that hopeful of the new addition’s survival, as they’ve had more children die within a few years of their birth than make it through toddlerhood. Against all odds, Isolda will prove to be healthy from the very beginning and that will continue in the years that will follow.Personality:
1842: Margot is born and like Isolda she seems to be healthy.
1843: Margot dies before even turning one. Her death hardly surprises anyone, given the mortality rate in the family but it still makes the wetnurse a bit more protective over Isolda in case she follows her sister to the grave.
1844: Elbridge is born. Isolda displays her first sign of magic by setting her doll on fire after a tantrum.
1845-1847: Isolda’s childhood goes on normally. Neither she nor Elbridge get even close to dying and as the two youngest they grow to be rather close.
June 1848: Astrid graduates from Hogwarts and she takes up a job in the Ministry. The eight-year-old Isolda finds that decision of hers to be very silly. Why would Astrid want to work when she could be lazy at home and attend parties like the other debutantes?
1849: Evangeline is elected the Minister of Magic. Isolda’s very pleased and she considers herself as good as royalty due to her mother’s position. Her increased bratty demeanour annoys many, but it also brings to her new friends. There’d always be people who’d want to be friends with the Minister’s daughter, after all!
June 1852: Helga graduates from Hogwarts and she starts working at the hospital. Like with Astrid, Isolda doesn’t understand why anyone would willingly want to have a job. That’s for poor people and men only! Helga’s doesn’t even finish her internship, though and marries Lucius Macnair instead
September 1852: Isolda goes to Hogwarts where she’s sorted into Slytherin, despite being perhaps the “least” ambitious of her sisters. At least where work was concerned.
1853: Helga has a son.
1854: Helga has another son.
1855: Astrid marries some old person. This joins Isolda’s list of “Things Astrid Does and I Don’t Understand” because why would anyone want to marry a man with one foot in the grave when there are perfectly young and attractive men? At least Astrid stops working - a sane decision for once! Elbridge joins Isolda in Slytherin.
1857: Astrid gives birth to a son. Now that Isolda is old enough to know better she’s surprised that her sister was even capable of doing that, given her husband’s age.

1859: Isolda graduates from Hogwarts. She might not do that well in her NEWTs, but her first season is quite successful. By December, she’s already courted by a Mr. Carmichael.
NEWT SCORES
CHARMS A DEFENCE AGAINST THE DARK ARTS A DIVINATION E TRANSFIGURATION E
1860: In August, Isolda marries Mr. Carmichael, making her the first of her sisters not to marry a pureblood. She thinks that makes her cool and exciting.
1862: Isolda gives birth to her first child, a son named Dylan.
1866: Despite them hardly straying away from their marital duties, Isolda and Gryffith welcome their second child four years after the first. After long deliberation, the girl is named Fairy.
1869: Dylan loses his life due to an unfortunate display of magic. For all that Isolda could often come off as cold and detached when it comes to such things, she is deeply stricken by his death. So much, that she goes into labour a few weeks earlier than it was anticipated. She delivers another girl who they name Nymph as planned, though the little one’s arrival does little to soothe Isolda’s pain. She secretly thinks herself responsible for her son’s death, as she had been rather impatient about him displaying magic.
1871: By this point, Dylan is fondly remember but Isolda has moved on with her life. She has a third daughter, who is named Unicorn. Other more normal names were suggested, but Isolda goes with Unicorn a bit out of spite after one of her “friends” jokingly asks her if after Fairy and Nymph she’d go for that. And Isolda of course was like “***** I might.”.
1875: Gryffith’s father dies and they relocate from their country home to a small estate. She complains a bit at first, but quickly gets used to it and likes her new bigger gardens much more. She invests into bringing some “exotic looking” plants for the new garden.
1877: Fairy departs for Hogwarts where she’s sorted into Gryffindor. Isolda is quite surprised it wasn’t Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw, given the girl’s demeanour but she’s pleased nonetheless.
1878: Elbridge marries Lucille Lancaster, a muggleborn girl. Isolda is only a bit jealous at first, but she and Lucille become fast friends. Or at least as friendly as their age gap would permit them.
1880 or 1881: Nymph goes to Hogwarts.
1882: Unicorn joins Fairy in Gryffindor.
1884: Fairy graduates from Hogwarts and comes out in society. Business reasons force Gryffith to go to America. He decides to send Fairy in the newly established finishing school in Irvingly and Isolda knows very well that it’s because he knows her too well to let the poor thing all alone in her care rather than “because it’d be beneficial for her future!” Gah, that idiot. For all that Isolda has always been fond of him, he could often make her want to throw things at him as well.
• Isolda is a stubborn and domineering personality. She hates it when things don’t go her way. Thankfully, she’s quite capable of making sure that things do go her way. She may often do things out of spite.Sample Roleplay Post:
• Isolda has never been a particularly hard working person. At least not for things that don’t interest her or she doesn’t feel that have anything to do with her. She’d put sweat and blood in the preparation of a ball or something, but if you asked her to help you with something she’d probably excuse herself with a headache. She cannot fathom why anyone would want to have a job if they don’t need one and she’d sooner die than see any of her precious girls work.
• Isolda is a vain woman and she puts great care in her appearance. Her style tends to tiptoe between fashionable and slightly unusual because she likes being original and different. That goes beyond her fashion sense. Isolda’s fond of foreign and exotic things and she has hired a cook especially to cook her exotic dishes according to her fancy.
• Given the family she comes from, Isolda is rather progressive. She thinks that women should have the vote and she’s not afraid to share these views of hers in conversation. With that being said, she’s rather glad that with society being the way it is she doesn’t have to work.
• Basically the Suyin to Astrid’s Lin
