NOVEMBER 4TH 1887
"JACK-O-LANTERN MURDERER" IDENTIFIED?
AUROR DEPARTMENT NAMES SUSPECT |
I t has been three days since the Auror Department announced the murderer of three young victims following Halloween parties across London. Since, the department has been working tirelessly to catch the murderer, who was deemed the "Jack-o-Lantern murderer" due to his gruesome method of killing and disposing of the body. The man was described as a average height, average build man with short, dark hair and a mustache. In the days since the murder, the Auror Department has spent countless hours questioning men and women on the streets of magical London, including one shop owner that proved their best lead. "He spoke with a very high-pitched voice and seemed nervous," said the vendor. "I asked his name, to which he responded "Mr. Pennifold", before looking alarmed and running off. It could've been a charade, I tell you, if he was really planning to murder all those ladies that evening," he told reporters at the Daily Prophet. Nevertheless, a Mr. Chester Pennifold was identified by the Auror Department who matched the descriptions given the night of the murders. _____________________________________________________________ |
Mr. Pennifold has been named as a suspect, but investigators have not yet revealed whether or not they believe him to be the murderer. Digging has revealed some alarming facts that may suggest that Mr. Chester Pennifold is indeed the murderer! Mr. Pennifold's wife, Mrs. Deidre Pennifold, holds the same characteristics as the victims of the Jack-o-Lantern murderer. She possesses dark hair, light eyes, and is in her early twenties. Mr. Pennifold, who lives at his family estate in Southampton, has a farm that grows only turnips, a quirk that neighbors state has been in his family for centuries. Mr. Pennifold was also said by friends to have been attending parties across London on the night of the murders. Due to the Auror Department's uncertainty on the matter, the Daily Prophet still advises all men and women to keep their families indoors after the sun falls below the horizon.
